SEGUNDA PARTE: PASIÓN //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
‘Behold the Lamb of God’ (Juan 1:29). Coro
Behold the Lamb of God, that taketh away the sin of the world.
Éste es el Cordero de Dios, que quita los pecados del mundo
‘He was despised’ (Isaías 53:3; Isaías 50:6). Aria, contralto
He was despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief. He gave His back to the smiters, and His cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: he hid not His face from shame and spitting.
Fue despreciado por los hombres; un varón acostumbrado a sufrir. Ofreció la espalda a los que le azotaban, sus mejillas a los que le arrancaban el pelo: y no ocultó su cara a los ultrajes ni a los salivazos.
‘Surely He hath borne our griefs’ (Isaías 50:6). Coro
Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him.
Él soportó nuestros sufrimientos y aguantó nuestros dolores. Fue herido por nuestros pecados y destrozado por nuestras iniquidades. El precio de nuestra paz cayó sobre Él.
‘And with His stripes’ (Isaías53:5). Coro
And with His stripes we are healed.
Y con sus cicatrices fuimos curados.
‘All we, like sheep’ (Isaías53:6). Coro
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
Y nosotros igual que ovejas nos descarriamos, cada uno por un lado distinto; y el Señor cargó sobre Él nuestros crímenes.
‘All they that see Him’ (Salmos, 22:7). Recitativo, tenor.
All they that see Him laugh Him to scorn: they shoot out their lips, and shake their heads, saying,
Todos los que lo ven se ríen y lo desprecian: hacen muecas y mueven la cabeza diciendo:
‘He trusted in God’ (Salmos, 22:8). Coro.
He trusted in God that He would deliver Him: let Him deliver Him, if He delight in Him.
Él confió en que Dios lo liberaría: que lo ponga a salvo, que lo libere si tanto lo quiere.
ALABANZA Y RESURRECCIÓN /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
‘But thou didst not leave’ (Salmos, 16:10). Aria, tenor.
But Thou didst not leave His soul in hell; nor didst Thou suffer Thy Holy One to see corruption.
Pero Tú no permitiste que su alma llegara al infierno, ni que tu Unigénito conociera la corrupción.
‘Lift up your heads’ (Salmos24:7-10). Coro.
Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of Glory shall come in! Who is this King of Glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.
¡Puertas, abrid vuestros dinteles, puertas eternas, que va a entrar el Rey de la Gloria! ¿Quién es el Rey de la Gloria? El Señor fuerte y poderoso, el Señor poderoso en la batalla.
‘Unto wich of the angels’ (Hebreos 1:5). Recitativo, tenor
Unto which of the angels said He at any time, Thou art My Son, this day have I begotten Thee?
¿Ante cuál de los ángeles dijo una vez, “Tú eres mi hijo, hoy te he engendrado”?
‘Let all the angels’ (Hebreos 1:6). Coro.
Let all the angels of God worship Him.
Adórenlo todos los ángeles de Dios.
PROPAGACIÓN DE LA PALABRA ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
‘The Lord gave the word’ (Salmos 68:11). Coro
The Lord gave the word: great was the company of the preachers.
El Señor pronunció la palabra: muchos fueron los predicadores.
‘How beautiful are the feet’ (Romanos 10:15). Aria, soprano.
How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
¡Qué hermosos los pies de los que pregonan el Evangelio de paz y traen buenas noticias!
‘Their sound is gone out’ (Romanos 10:18). Coro
Their sound is gone out into all lands, and their words unto the ends of the world.
Su mensaje llegó a todas las tierras y su palabra a los confines del mundo.
TRIUNFO DE CRISTO SOBRE LA MUERTE Y EL MAL //////////////////////////////////////////////////////
‘Why do the nations’ (Salmos 2:1-2). Aria, bajo
Why do the nations so furiously rage together, why do the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth rise up, and the rulers take counsels together, against the Lord, and His anointed.
¿Por qué las naciones luchan tan encarnizadamente entre sí, y los hombres planean desgracias vanas? Los reyes del mundo conspiran contra el Señor y su Ungido.
‘Let us break their bonds’ (Salmos 2:3). Coro
Let us break their bonds asunder, and cast away their yokes from us.
Rompamos sus ataduras y sacudámonos su yugo.
‘He that dwelleth in heaven’ (Salmos 2:4). Recitativo, tenor
He that dwelleth in heaven shall laugh them to scorn: the Lord shall have them in derision.
El Soberano del cielo se ríe de ellos con desprecio: el Señor se burla de ellos.
‘Thou shalt break them’ (Salmos 2:9). Aria, tenor
Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; Thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.
Los destrozarás con una barra de hierro, los romperás en pedazos como si fueran una jarra de arcilla.
‘Hallelujah’ (Apocalipsis 19:16, 11:15). Coro
Hallelujah, for the Lord God Omnipotent reigneth, Hallelujah! The Kingdom of this world is become the Kingdom of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He shall reign for ever and ever, Hallelujah! King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, and He shall reign for ever and ever, Hallelujah!
¡Aleluya, porque el Señor Dios Omnipotente reina, aleluya! El reino de este mundo se ha convertido en el reino del Señor y su Cristo, Él reinará por siempre jamás ¡Aleluya! Rey de Reyes, Señor de Señores, reinará por los siglos de los siglos. ¡Aleluya!

TERCERA PARTE: VIDA ETERNA /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
‘I know theh my Redeemer liveth’ (Job 19:25-26; Corintios 15:20). Aria, soprano
I know that my Redeemer liveth, and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God. For now is Christ risen from the dead, the first fruits of them that sleep.
Yo sé que mi Redentor vive, y que se alzará sobre el polvo: aunque los gusanos destruyan mi cuerpo, mi alma verá a Dios. Porque ahora Cristo ha resucitado de entre los muertos, como primer fruto de los que aún duermen.
‘Since by man came death’ (Corintios 15:21-22). Coro
Since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
Así como por el hombre vino la muerte, también por el hombre vino la resurrección. Pues si por Adán mueren; por Cristo resucitarán.
‘Behold, I tell you a mystery’ (Corintios 15:51-52). Recitativo, bajo.
Behold, I tell you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.
Mirad, os revelaré un secreto, no todos moriremos, seremos transformados. En un momento, en un guiñar de ojos, al son de la última trompeta.
‘The trumpet shall sound’ (Corintios 15:52-53). Aria, bajo.
The trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
La trompeta sonará y los muertos se levantarán incorruptos y seremos transformados.
Then shall be brought to pass (Corintios I 15:54). Recitativo, contralto
Then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
Entonces se cumplirá lo que está escrito: ¡La muerte se convertirá en victoria!
‘O death, where is thy sting’ (Corintios 15:55-56). Aria contralto y tenor.
O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
¡Oh muerte! ¿Dónde está tu aguijón? ¡Oh muerte! ¿Dónde está tu victoria? El aguijón de la muerte es el pecado y contra el pecado está la ley.
‘But thanks be to God’ (Corintios 15:57). Coro.
But thanks be to God, who giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Gracias a Dios, que nos da la victoria a través de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
‘Worthy is the Lamb’ (Apocalipsis 5:12-14). Coro
Worthy is the Lamb that was slain, and hath redeemed us to God by His blood, to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. Blessing, and honour, glory and power, be unto Him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
El Cordero que fue sacrificado y nos redimió ante Dios con su sangre; digno es de recibir poder, riqueza, sabiduría, fuerza, honor, gloria y alabanza. Al que se sienta en el trono y al Cordero, la alabanza, el honor, la gloria y el poder por los siglos de los siglos.
‘Amen’. Coro
